Paljon onnea, Pullis! / Happy birthday Pullis!

Tänään meidän ensikodissa on ollut suuri päivä, olemme juhlineet Pulliksen ensimmäistä syntymäpäivää! Juhlapäivää on vietetty Pullista lahjoen (kolme karvapalloa, joissa on kulkunen sisällä) ja spesiaaliherkkuruokaa syöden. Herkullisen tonnikala-riisi-aterian, josta on meneillään jo toinen kierros, lisäksi Pullis on saanut/saa muutaman ylimääräisen namin. Myöhemmin illalla, kunhan on otettu sopivat ruokalevot, juhlaohjelmaan kuuluu leikkimistä Pulden suosikkiongilla.

Juhlan kunniaksi postauksesta on alempana käännös Pulliksen suomea ymmärtämättömille faneille, jee!

One needs to taste (from) every dish, right? In the background Ötö doesn't seem to know how to eat

Pulliksen ensimmäisen vuoden kunniaksi loppupostaus on omistettu Pulliksen kuville.

Hi!
Today's the first birthday of Pullis, and I know how many of you love her, I decided to write this post also in English.
So, today we've been celebrating her birthday a little. I got her three furry balls that have little bells inside, so they jingle while playing. To make the day special, the kitties also got a little feast - some tasty white tuna with rice. Pullis loved it! She was first on the table and last one to finish. Not too surprising, she seems to like everything that has lots of fish in it. Usually she prefers kibbles but we had Catz Finefood's salmon & poultry and herring & crab earlier this week, and she ate very heartily.

But back to the b-day business! What would a birthday be without treats? A lame day. So she got a few duck strips in the morning, and will get some other treats later this evening, too. (Okay, now I have to write single-handed, my other foster came to lie on my lap..) I'm pondering between Toothies (dental care snacks), vitamin paste (lame, I know, but she likes it) and freeze-dried chicken bits. What do you suggest?
Treating kitties is always a bit flammable situation since Maisa will get mad & punch everyone's face if she thinks she hasn't got as much/as good treats as others. Or just because everyone else is getting them too.
Later on we'll also play with Pullis' favourite umm sticks(?).

Today it has also been exactly five months since Pullis came here, all scared and spitting every time I tried to approach. It was impossible to touch her, so it took 2 months that I could take her to the vet to get vaccinated and spayed. In five months she has evolved to this lovely kitty, who spends her time around people, relaxed, and sometimes sleeps next to/on me. I can pet her and she has started to enjoy it, she even lets me to pick her up!

Now I really need to get back to my school work (a short paper about methods in records management of one small town. Interesting, huh?).
But would you like to read this blog also in English in the future? Posts are about my (and couple of other's) life as a foster home and all things kitty.
